How Our Grant Program Works
Our goal is to get you and your business on the right path to Net Zero. As part of this drive, we are supporting business across West Yorkshire by working with them to apply for government grants to start their sustainability journey to Net Zero.

Eligibility Criteria for Consultancy Funding
The criteria for the 50% funding towards external sustainability-related consultancy points are below. The consultancy can be used for any of our services that involve consultancy, Green/Sustainability Plan creation, Carbon Reduction Plan, planning implementation, Carbon Calculation audit/review or building out your carbon reporting. Our goal is to get you and your business on the right path to Net Zero. Work with us and we can help you to apply for the sustainability grant to pay for up to 50% of the consultancy fee.
- The trading address where the support is needed must be within one of these Council areas: Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Wakefield.
- Your business must be an SME with under 100 employees – defined by an annual turnover of under £50m or a balance sheet of under £43m, and not be part of a larger group of companies that takes it over these thresholds (group employee numbers cannot be above 250).
- Your business must trade in an eligible sector - this generally excludes primary agriculture, banking and financial services, and activities related to education or social care and franchises. The programme will advise on this eligibility.
- The grant can only be used on consultancy work. It will not cover and carbon offsetting of tree plantation projects.
To be eligible of for the Grant you must not have received more Minimum Financial Assistance than £273,000 through public funding in the last three fiscal years
